Dynamic New Resource To Support Learning In The Voluntary & Community Sector
A unique online directory to support learning in the voluntary and community sector (VCS) was officially launched on Wednesday 5th October - by the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE); in partnership with the National Association of Councils for Voluntary Service (NACVS) and the national Workforce Hub; with support from the Department for Education and Skills (DfES)
MLA West Midlands Training Bursary Scheme
MLA West Midlands is committed to supporting museums, libraries and archives in the region in their development. The MLA regards staff training to be a major route to achieving a strong and sustainable sector.
Volunteer Toolkit

In September 2000 the West Midlands Regional Museums Council held a 'Takes Issue' day about Volunteers. A number of issues arose on the day including the difficulty of writing a Volunteer Policy. This 'Toolkit' has been written to address this issue.
