The Funding Service aims to develop capacity and sustainability in the sector in the region by channeling investment into museums, libraries and archives and by improving viability, to ensure that they are more sustainably resourced.
The service currently involves the sector in four areas of provision:
- Improving its ability to deliver services that reflect a strategic approach
- Increasing its capacity to deliver effective services
- Improving the quality and success of funding bids
- Directly managing large projects
