The acronym, G.A.P. in the group title, stands for “Group for Afrikan Professionals”
This Group will target the gaps and tackle the issues that effect diversity and inclusion agendas within the cultural sector.
Our primary objectives are to; create a network of Afrikan museums, libraries, archives, and arts professionals in order to support, represent and advise on workforce development issues; and also to innovate and develop effective solutions towards the sustained engagement of communities in arts and heritage provision.
Our vision for the next twelve months is to provide representation for our members and the cultural sector at formal policy level, achieving national recognition as a professional organisation and to act as a consultative body regarding professionalism and diversity.
