Staffordshire Arts and Museum Service are looking for an enthusiastic person to help us deliver collections management support to volunteer run museums across Staffordshire as part of the Museum Development Project in the County.

You will be responsible for assisting museums in their preparation for the new Accreditation Standard which Staffordshire museums will being applying for in 2009.

You will support museum staff in packing or repacking museum collections, establishing condition checking programmes, accessioning and cataloguing new and existing collections, maintaining loans and other location and documentation records to the MDA SPECTRUM standard and assisting with writing procedures in line with the Accreditation Standard.

You will have an interest in museum work and preferably have or be working towards a postgraduate qualification in Museums or Heritage Studies.
