West Midlands Library Forum 2006
*
15 August 2006
*

This year’s event showcases innovative and creative ways of caring and sharing special collections of all shapes and sizes.
Have you got to the point when you wonder if it really is worth keeping that collection of diaries from the village estate, or despaired of anyone actually ever looking at your Coptic manuscripts? Well this event is for you.

Inspiring case studies will span academic, specialist and public library experiences and demonstrate how any institution can develop new audiences through partnerships, people and processes.

In addition to the national and regional speakers, the extended lunchtime marketplace will be an opportunity for delegates to network, quiz the experts and share tips and experiences.

More details of the event will be available in September.
If you are not on the mailing list and would like to be added please send your details to Deanna Jackson (contacts as above)

Registration fee for this event £25

N.B.
Limited Bursaries to cover registration for library staff (volunteers or paid) may be available though the normal bursary route.
Details and application form can be found in the workforce development section of our website
mlawestmidlands.org.uk/priorities/workforcedevelopment/resources/index.asp?id=973,961,55,974

Work in museums or archives and want to attend?
A very small number of bursaries to cover registration fee have been ring-fenced for staff (volunteers or paid) from museums and archives.
These will be distributed on a first come, first served basis (limited to one per organisation/site).
Respond to Deanna Jackson identifying your name and workplace.
You will be notified in October whether you have been allocated a place.
