Literature Matters

School Library Services (SLS) are an invaluable resource for teachers and. They can support teaching and learning across the curriculum and with the raising standards agenda. This is achieved by advice, loans, support for evaluation, training and partnership development.

Third Libraries Forum Event. 12 Oct 2005 - Presentations

Having regional events for libraries in the West Midlands has become a bit of a tradition over the last decade or so. For some of us there is a danger of them all merging into one rather vague memory (especially as so many seem to have taken place at good old Austin Court)!

You can read a personal review and report about the success of the event. You can also view all the Power Point Presentations by clicking on the title heading.

Third Libraries Forum Event. 12 October 2005 - Review

“A personal view….”

Having regional events for libraries in the West Midlands has become a bit of a tradition over the last decade or so. For some of us there is a danger of them all merging into one rather vague memory (especially as so many seem to have taken place at good old Austin Court)! There were those ground-breaking Telematics Conferences, two on “Futures Together”, another on the AWM Libraries Challenge and now a series of three Libraries Forum annual events on customer and marketing themes. So how can the latest of these (on October 12th) be summed up; and more important still how can it be communicated to a wider audience? You could try linking to the various presentations but if you were not one of the 80 or so present, you might find the bare bones in need of some flesh and blood. What follows is a personal view of the key issues raised.
